It’s awards season and not just for the world of entertainment. I was lucky enough to be at the PA Awards 2020, held in London on 6 February, when the great and good of the financial advice industry received accolades for jobs well done.
Not only was it a rewarding experience for me as a representative of Intelliflo – we were announced as the winner of the Best Technology Provider (practice management) – it was even more gratifying to see so many of our customers getting the recognition they deserve.
Among them were Financial Management Bureau, who won Adviser Firm of the Year North West; Continuum, who picked up Adviser Firm of the Year South West and Wales, Foster Denovo, who won Adviser Firm of the Year London, Red Circle Financial Planning who won Best Adviser Website and Lindsay John from EQ Investors who was named Paraplanner of the Year.
Berry and Oak had a particularly rewarding night, picking up Adviser Firm of the Year North East and Adviser Firm of the Year for the whole of the UK. They also picked up Best Client Engagement (advisers).
Without a doubt it’s the people at these firms who are the ones making their businesses so successful but I’d like to think that perhaps Intelliflo’s technology also has a part to play.
Use of technology can play a major role when it comes to client engagement. Berry and Oak make good use of our Personal Finance Portal (PFP) service, which enables them to interact with clients securely and provides 24/7 online access for clients to view their financial status quickly and easily.
Of course, technology can only do its job when it’s in the hands of people who recognise the power it can provide to business. All these firms are shining examples of how the right technology can be integrated with the best people to create a truly winning formula. Congratulations to all!
